Practice, Portfolio and Presentation

During this program we work according to the three P’s: Practice (of embroidery), Portfolio (collection of tangible evidence of your competence) and Presentation (skill in presenting your special craft; telling your personal ‘story’).

And this is exactly what sets the Dutch Couture Academy apart from other embroidery schools: starting with the basics of the technique, you immediately look for its relevance to your own, unique work. You learn how to convert an idea in your head into a concrete design. You learn how to find the right materials. And also how you you can use this to create a special product or service. Everything in this program is aimed at helping you to develop independently within the niche that you see for yourself.

Develop your embroidery skills and create your own designs. Discover where your talent is present in this area and how you can possibly use this talent to generate income. This course with assignments and homework challenges you to actively develop yourself. The inspiration of the technique and the many possible applications, the contact with other students and the elaboration of the assignments give you new ideas. What may now be vague in your head, you will work out concretely with the help of me and your fellow students.

The tuition fee is €7449,- including VAT, excluding materials. The tuition can be paid in one lump sum or in twelve monthly installments of €649 .
