Inspiration

(EN) Dani Johnson is one of my most inspiring role-models. You probably know that little voice inside of you that wants to convince you that you are ‘too young’, ‘too old’, ‘too stupid’, ‘not creative’. Or, that you are just not ‘born to be successful’. That you don’t have the money’, ‘don’t have the right education’, or that you ‘just hasn’t got ‘it’ to make your dreams come true.

Hey, wait! IS THAT TRUE? What is the origin of these thoughts? Are they going to help you? Are they supportive in any way?

As I promised in a previous blog, I am going to share with you some of my role models. People that did the incredible and did it well. They are inspiring me every day to silence that little voice. They convince me that I can do it. It is by listening to their stories, their struggles and how they solve them, that I get new ideas, encouragement and a lot more.

One of these people is Dani Johnson. This woman had excellent reasons to say: ‘I cannot succeed in anything in my life’. But she did.
If you listen to her story, you can’t help getting inspired. She did the impossible. She recovered from a terrible youth. Became a successful entrepreneur, mother of five, grandmother of seven and supports charities in Nicaragua.

Inspiratie

(NL) Je herkent wellicht dat stemmetje van binnen, dat je probeert te  overtuigen dat je ’te jong’, ‘te oud’, ‘te dom’ ‘te weinig creatief’ bent, dat je het ‘gewoon niet in je hebt’, ‘je zo niet geboren bent’, ‘je het geld er niet voor hebt’ of ‘je de opleiding niet hebt’ …. om je dromen werkelijkheid te laten worden.

Maar hé, wacht eens! IS DAT WEL WAAR? Waar komen die gedachten vandaan? Gaan die jou helpen? 

Zoals beloofd zou ik enkele mensen, blogs en ideeën met jullie delen die mij mateloos inspireren. Eèn daarvan is Dani Johnson. Deze vrouw had alle reden om te denken dat het haar nooit zou lukken om ook maar ergens succesvol in te worden in haar leven. Toch is dat haar gelukt. En hoe! Als je luistert naar wat zij je vertelt, dan kan het bijna niet anders dan dat je opspringt en aan de slag gaat.
