Looking for a way to dress appropriate, but still being able to feel yourself comfortable and not too pleasing to your parents (whatever age they are)?
What to think of these two looks, both with a twist. The colour is pretty traditional (burgundy red) but the clothing is rather casual. This way you fit in to the party, whether you have to join for dinner (velvet skirt) or if you are up to a warm winter walk in the woods. Just add something people don’t expect, like boots (still in the ‘right’ colour!) or a fashionable hat. Make it fun!
This dark red colour is perfect for autumn or summer colour types; just be sure you choose the warm, more brown version if you are an autumn type, and choose the one with more blue into it if you are a summer type.
The surprise may be in the choice of materials. Instead of silks and shiny fabrics, choose warm velvet and wool. Instead of traditional jewellery, choose more bold bracelets and earrings. Instead of pumps, choose boots. Add whatever you need to feel comfortable and relax. It will just be a family gathering. Enjoy your time. And TALK with the people you love.
